What is more feminine and playful than a pastel circus-themed cake smash?! This fun backdrop was enhanced with these absolutely adorable circus animals, balls & hearts that I had fun crafting myself to make this cake smash super special. Mom wanted to add a little glitz with some gold, so we rounded out the set with the sparkly gold curtains. It turned out perfectly!

Chloe was a little hesitant at first (most kiddos are!), but she definitely warmed up and gave us some uber adorable smiles and grins. I always say that I wish I had a video camera set up behind me so I could see all of the shenanigans the parents are getting up to trying to get their little one to smile.

We started the session off with a couple quick family and sibling images, pre-portraits of just Chloe and then moved in to the smash! I do recommend having your babe try buttercream icing before their session so they can get used to the feeling on their fingers. And once Chloe figured out how delicious her custom cake was, she daintily licked the icing off of her fingers. Isn’t she the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen?!

We then finished the cake smash with a fun bubble-bath – the best way to clean up!
