As a Calgary and area newborn photographer, there are few things I love more than walking into a session and being greeted by the quiet magic that only a brand-new baby can bring — especially when that baby comes with two doting big sisters!

This recent session was one of those dreamy ones where everything just clicked. From the soft natural light streaming in, to the gentle hum of white noise in the background, Baby Olivia made herself right at home… and promptly fell into the most peaceful sleep. And here’s the kicker — she stayed asleep almost the entire time! Photographers will know how rare that is, but it made for a smooth and beautifully calm session.

Her two older sisters were full of energy and love, bouncing with excitement to hold their new baby sister. You could feel the pride radiating off them as they snuggled in close and gave the sweetest kisses. We made sure to capture those quiet in-between moments — the way they looked at her with awe, the giggles as they lay beside her, and the delicate way they held her tiny fingers.

The colour palette we chose was soft blush, cream, and purples — girly, classic, and timeless. Baby Olivia was wrapped like a little angel, cozy and content. Every setup looked like a page out of a storybook, and we got a gorgeous mix of solo newborn shots and heartfelt sibling & family portraits.

Sessions like these are a gentle reminder of the beauty of growing families — the peaceful beginnings, the bonds already forming, and the love that fills every frame.
